Which power tool?

Yes we have all been there a million power tools all claiming to do the same thing, how do we choose the right one?

There will be a difference in how they perform and by that I mean battery time or trigger time and also how efficiently it copes with the task.

Its also not just about the power tool its self, sharp cutters, blades and drill bits will make the work easier and put less stress on the power tool helping it perform to the best of its ability.

Brands

There are a lot of brands on the market all having their own unique selling points some of the more well known ones are noted below;

DeWalt, Makita, Milwaukee, Stanley, Bosch, Hitachi, GMC (There is a lot more out there a lot more!)

 Features

Batteries from 12v to 36v, Corded tools 240v or 110v for site use, key less chucks, work lights, adjustable torques and speed, combi / multi use tools, hammer action depth stops etc.

Well there is no right or wrong answer as it depends on us as individuals how much we have to spend, the type of job you need to do, if you like gadgets, do you prefer a particular brand, does it need to last, how much work will it be doing, do you want corded tools or battery operated, corded tools will not need charging but you need a power source and this means trailing leads and so on.

 I like to think given a range to choose from we would make a purchase to suit our needs but if you need some help its always best to ask the experts.

If you think I have missed any important points or can help me improve this post please feel free to comment.
